Comments
The Classic Dry Red is made to be an approachable, easy drinking red, ideally consumed within the first four years after vintage date.
We achieve this by sourcing Merlot and Shiraz from the Manjimup district and blending with ripe Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon. The varieties were vinified and aged separately in French and American oak for 12 18 months, before blending in September 1999.
Winemakers comments
This wine displays a bright red colour with purple hues. Raspberry and cranberry aromas dominate the aroma with hints of bay leaf and tobacco.
The palate is soft and medium bodied with gentle tannins and an array of red berry flavours dominating.
